Situated at the mouth of the
Brunswick River, Brunswick Heads is a popular family holiday destination
with superb swimming in the river and along the patrolled surfing
beaches.
Canoes and skis can be hired
during the school holidays from the fun "Pirate Ship" moored just off
the riverbank.
There is a great pub with a
huge beer garden ideal for lunching.
Take time to walk in the
Brunswick Heads Nature Reserve, eat fish & chips at the Fisherman's
Co-op at the marina, shop for arts and crafts at the market held the 1st
Saturday of the month, enjoy 8km of unspoiled beach and the impressive
backdrop of coastal heath, hire a canoe or ski and paddle the Brunswick
River, and join the throng and lunch and listen to the music at the pub
on a Sunday.
